HPP CARES Training Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on stabilizing neighborhoods in areas that are struggling from large amounts of foreclosures. In select areas HPP CARES TC rehabs homes and provides on the job training (during the rehab process) to local residents that wish to learn construction skills and the real estate business. We attract a diverse group of students, some with significant barriers to employment, some that have recently been laid off, and others simply looking to change careers. Each student is unique, and so is the training program. All students have the opportunity to work for/with a diverse group of general contractors and real estate professionals that specialize in home renovations and house sales. We pay a fair wage during the training program and try and get students employed after graduation.

Our mission is to stabilize neighborhoods, by renovating homes hardest hit by foreclosue and blight while teaching life skills that create opportunities for employment.

Training Center

The HPP CARES Training Center  focuses on providing individuals with hands on training during revitalization projects throughout California, Texas, and Chicago. Currently HPP CARES  is working with the U.S. Department of Labor Office of Apprenticeship to design a formally recognized and registered apprenticeship program. For individuals who would like to learn skills in the residential rehabilitation space but feel that a registered apprenticeship program may not be for them we currently provide a Residential Renovation – Basic Training program. HPP CARES TC programs offer sound skill development and exposure to industry professionals. Work hand in hand with recognized specialists while gaining exposure to potential employers. Please check below for the types of occupations and attributes HPP CARES TC offers its trainees.
